Let's face it, Google is probably the starting place for most of our online adventures. So, why not make sure the search engine is right at your fingertips wherever you go through Google Mobile App?
This free application gives you access to Google directly from your Today screen. Once installed, a neat toolbar appears that contains a search bar. You simply click here, enter your keywords and Google Mobile App will automatically load Internet Explorer with the results of your search. Perfect for digging out tidbits of information while you're on the go. The app even stores details of your searches to help you next time, and can be customized to produce searches related to your geographic location.
Google Mobile App is much more than just a search tool though, and the program also gives you access to Google's myriad of web services from your Pocket PC. By tapping the icons on the Today screen toolbar you can access stuff like Maps, News, Docs, Picasa, Reader, Calendar, and more.
One thing that disappointed me about this Windows Mobile version of Google Mobile App is that, unlike the iPhone version, it doesn't include voice searching capabilities. Granted, it's not something that's a standard feature on programs such as this, but the iPhone version works so well that it is sad not to see it repeated for WM users.
If you use your Pocket PC for Internet access, then you'll surely get a lot of use out of Google Mobile App.
